Timing belts and Pulleys
A timing belt by design does not rely on friction for drive, but uses positive engagement of the teeth on the belt with the driver and driven pulleys. This provides the advantages of chain, v-belt and flat-flex belt drives without the need for high belt tension or lubrication.
The belt is 100% positive, ensuring accurate synchronisation between the driver and driven pulleys.
